“It’s okay Pumpkin, the first day of school is always a little intimidating.” Sunburst encouraged his daughter patiently, knowing the crowd of school ponies could be a little frightening to such a shy filly like Beauty.
Beauty didn’t move.
“What if they don’t like my backpack? Or my pigtails? What if they say I’m too little and pick on me? What if-” Beauty rambled on nervously for a few seconds before she was cut off by Sunburst.
“Hush, they’re gonna love you Pumpkin, you’re sweet and talented, and the nicest filly I know.” Sunburst said with a smile, looking down at his daughter over his spectacles.
Beauty blushed a little, flustered by all of the nice things her daddy had said.
“Okay, I’ll go in but I want kissums first” Beauty said.
Sunburst laughed, leaning his head down to kiss his daughter’s cheek affectionately. After she got her little kiss, Beauty turned and give her dad a kiss on a the cheek and then ran to join the other school ponies as the bell rang.
Sunburst smiled as he watched Beauty run over to the other school ponies, following them inside. they grow up so fast he thought to himself, before turning to head home.

Fun Fact: for the longest time, Beauty called kisses Kissums, this started out as a toddler saying her first words kind of thing, but Beauty continued to call kisses kissums, and its something she carries on with into adulthood as well (usually only around Sunburst)

I realized I hadnt drawn Sunburst with Beauty yet so I decided to throw a little piece together, lazy shading but I liked it.
