The comic didn’t, it said Celestia and twilights parents are idiots and not only imposed twilight with the intense schooling of celestia’s school, but also force charged of her with a dragon of which no one knows much of anything about and is clearly an infant with needs.
Thankfully, Amending Fences and Celestial Advice debunk the comic.
@Daneasaur
That’s more or less what Faust and this comic both stated.
I would feel that Celestia primarily took care of Spike and Twilight would routinely meet with Celestia for various exclusive lessons and reports, thus she’d then interact with Spike and get familiar with him, enforcing the “brother and sister” dynamic between them, but also just enough distance for her to not put Spike on the same level as Shining Armor.
Actually, that was part of the reason I liked the comic.
I’m glad we’ve basically unanimously agreed this comic can’t have happened because it paints celestia and twilights parents as incredibly dimwitted and it paints the general treatment of Spike to be downright cruel and any pratfalls happening to Spike from here on out even more cruel.
Not the intention, but is hard to imagine any other thing.
