Some people seem to think ponies edited IRL are cringeworthy, specially if the edit is not much more than pasting some vector in the pic, or the pony is in some way intimately involved with the editor, not necessarily romantically, but AJ’s expression here does strongly suggest that (blush, lidded eyes, while also hugging a heart shaped tree).  
Also I guess you could ask the one who tagged it so.  
Though I’m more with you here, I’m one of those who doesn’t always think these things are too cringeworthy.  
And with 16 upvotes, 10 faves, and 0 downvotes, besides being one of the only 2 of 349 pics tagged cringeworthy with 0 downvotes so far (the other one being ponies reacting with cringe to another edit), it doesn’t really seem to be so bad.  
The only thing I think shouldn’t have been done is not crediting the artist of the vector.

Other than the ’70s decor, why is this cringeworthy?
