This is a classic technique, shielding the citizen inside using their body as armour. Completely protected from harm, the citizen will stay inside the guard for hours, sometimes days, until the guard sees fit to release them into the world. Often, the guard will completely digest the citizen, keeping them safe forever as a layer of fat.
