Prompted by appearence of images of Derpibooru’s logo stylised to look like Pornhub’s one, I got curious of how much porn actually is there on Derpibooru. I made some fast calculations and posted them in comments of those images. But I also said that it would be interesting to breakdown those statistics down to year, so we could see if the number of porn rises over time.
So I’ve messed around with some search syntax and got a numerical values for each tag for each year, and compiled this statistics really quick, and here it is. I’ve decided to not just post it in comments again, but share it with everyone. Hope you’ll find that interesting.
P.S.: The whole reason I did this was because it sometimes feels like we are getting an overwhelming amount of porn here. But looking at these numbers - doesn’t seem to be the case. Porn is rising though. That’s for sure.

Yeah. The problem is getting that data in any efficient way (cause i’m not doing it by hand). Not to mention that we don’t even have number of views shown anywhere anymore, so maybe that data doesn’t even exist anymore.
I also thought about researching an upvote bias that’s going on with nsfw images, but it also requires getting upvote numbers for a whole bunch of entries, and I don’t think there is a way to get that data in bulk on the user side.
I thought about bugging admins and site devs about it, and I probably will, after I’m done with some more important things in life first.

So here’s a new version without screencaps and edits.
your current filter.And results… are mostly the same. I was expecting porn to go through the roof without screencaps, but it went up by only like 2% or so.
There’s also “part of a set”, where the image is just slightly altered, but excluding those would exclude the entire set and all sets that have more meaningful alterations then just adding a penis or larger boobs.

Or if the alternative versions and edits a lot of porn images were.
