because then he could use his zebra powers to curse her into being a zebra!
Eh it’s even more foreign than being a zebra. /shrug
I also ended up wanting him to be a cat bird obviously :P
But why not a zebra then? That would bring the point across. Griffin just seems random and uncalled for. Plus the way she looks and says “you shall awake with a BEAK” seems like she is really angry and that would be an especially bad punishment.
just ‘cause she knows he’ll think it’s a punishment, doesn’t mean she herself thinks griffons are bad.
