Notes about the design/character:
 
-Along with Majesty, my earliest RariPants family included Glory, also based on a G1 pony. Unlike her fashion-forward family, she was an intellect with a passion for studying the stars who often studied with Princess Twilight.
 
-While much different from Roy personality-wise, Glory was included here because like him, she doesn’t fit in with the family. So she sort of evolved into him?
 
-Since Majesty and Dusk were shipped, I was planning a story with Glory and Sentinel Shield (Galaxy) experiencing conflict with their siblings getting married. The plot point didn’t develop much farther than that, but was ultimately scrapped.
 
-After scrapping all of my NGs based on earlier generations, Royal Splendor came to be because I felt the Kindverse needed more male characters.
 
-Roy was immediately shipped with Paint because “hey, she needs a boyfriend!” and his personality was molded to be compatible with hers.
 
-Surprisingly, Roy wasn’t made a blank flank because of a need for storytelling opportunities but because I simply couldn’t think of a talent or cutie mark for him. But then I decided that would help mold his character and it stuck. Besides, developing his character first helped me come up with his talent for charity work.
 
-While I came up with Roy’s basic talent on my own, ktCATSbone helped me come up with the story. Expect that soon and expect some RoySwirl development ;)
 
-Stage 2 and Stage 3 aren’t much different other than the colors, which eventually became less generic and copy-pasted.
 
-Killing Paint off has done wonders for Roy’s character development that probably wouldn’t happen otherwise. I regret nothing!
