Harmony may be a fluffy bird babe, but she’s not that fluffy. In fact, her fluff and feathers are very airy and she molts a lot. So when winter rolls around, she shivers through it with a seething hatred. Lokie, on the other hoof/talon/paw, has a very heavy coat, especially in winter. He has no problem going out in 40 degree weather with nothing but a hat. Harmony is obviously jealous. Here’s how I pictured their conversation:
Harmony: Wait up for me! * struggling to run with all of her layers*
Lokie: Um…are you sure you don’t want to go inside for a coat?
Harmony: pouts You think it’s funny, but you’re just lucky you got born with all that fur. Just wait until it’s summer again, then we’ll see who’s laughing.
Lokie: nods touché. But if it’s any consolation, you look pretty cute when you’re all bundled up.
Harmony: * tries to look mad, but can’t help smiling.*
Harmony: * snorts * Just Shut up and let me snuggle that warm coat of yours.
Pestering Siblings 101: constantly talk and ask questions until the recipient is so annoyed they finally cave into what you want. Harmony knows this and often employs this tactic, especially with Lokie. There’s usually a 50/50 chance it will work. Lokie can simply ignore her when he wants to, but if he’s in the mood, he’ll use a counter-method to get her to leave. Even going so far as to crack a joke. ( Yes, Lokie does and can express humor, but it’s only around his family and a few select friends. What you’re seeing here is rarely seen by outsiders, so feel privileged.)
Harmony plays the role of the big sister very seriously and is aggressively protective of Lokie ( which I’ll show sometime in the future). But occasionally, the tables are turned when Harmony is threatened or injured. Then Lokie becomes very clingy and sometimes emotional, and is motivated by the fear of losing those he loves most. Harmony doesn’t mind it really, and appreciates seeing her brother care for her so much, but she doesn’t want to see him worry.
Lokie, like his mom, is an absolute pushover. Especially when it comes to Harmony, with her pestering ways and cute puppy eyes. As much as Lokie loathes pranking, he will occasionally help her out with a few select pranks when ̶f̶o̶r̶c̶e̶d̶ persuaded. Harmony is eager to employ him as her minion and won’t hesitate to use him to satisfy her little schemes. Unfortunately for Lokie, she usually disregards his warning and doesn’t think about the consequences for both him and her.
When they do get caught ( eventually), Harmony finally feels bad for roping her brother into her mess and tries to shield him as much as possible from the brunt of the punishment. This tends to make Fluttershy go easier on him, but he’s never let out of getting punished (even an accessory has to learn its wrong to be an accessory).
You’d think Lokie would get fed up with being used and he does, clutched he doesn’t hold it against Harmony. For one, he’s terrible with grudges and secondly, she does stand up for him when ever they get caught, so he’s fine with cutting her some slack. Besides, there is a pro to having a devious, pranking sibling: You get very good at avoiding pranks.
Well, that’s all for today! If you want to know more about their relationship, it’s described a bit more in Lokie’s bio. I hope you guys are enjoying these two as much as I am :3 Let me know if you guys have any suggestions for what I could do with these two!
