The Smooze was created by Discord back when the world was still young, he made it so that it would be immune to both order and chaos magic, but despite its incredible powers, the crature was innocent and would never hurt someone. One day, in the present time, the Smooze started to grow uncontrolably and threatened to swalow all Equestria and as all creatures in this world came from either order or chaos no one could stop it’s expension.
 
It was latter found that Changelling could harm the smooze as they were born from Grogar’s magic, a magic from another universe that follows different laws and does not belong to the order and chaos duality.
 
Thorax and Pharynx were sent inside the smooze to find and destroy what was corrupting it while the rest of the changelings prevented it to grow too much. Once inside, they found a stone imbued with strange powers butwhen they tried to destroy it, they were stopped by a mental projection of Squirk who was the one who caused the smooze to turn into a monster.
 
Although Squirk was not present physically, it still took the combined effort of Thorax, Pharynx and Chrysalis (who helped them only because she didn’t want to see the world destroyed) to defeat him and bring back the smooze to normal.
