Well, the Storm King’s conquering across the entire kingdom of Equestria have lasted for three days. Similar to how Plankton’s takeover across Bikini Bottom in the SpongeBob movie have lasted for five days and the Decepticons conquering across the entire planet of Cybertron lasted for 4-20 years prior to the events of the Transformers movie before a Unicron conquered the planet towards the end of the film.
Not really. The only reason they beat the Storm King in the end was due to outside help. Capper, Celaneo and her crew, the Hippogriff Princess. They were the ones who beat the Storm King’s army.

Also, even if the Storm King conquered Equestria, they fighted back and eventually they won, decapitating (metaphorically speaking, they lost their king) the army and pretty much destroying the Storm Kingdom in the proccess, so for all intend and purposes Tempest’s argument falls flat.
