Sweet Celestia, that’s a terrifying depiction of an Ursa Minor. The way the shadows just fall over it in the right places, especially the face. Makes both those bright red & yellow eyes and mouthful of razor teeth of his pop out even more.
 
And Tempest’s abject fear is just utterly palpable here. I absolutely love the way Andy Price draws her terror and desperation in this specific panel, the top part especially. You can just feel and hear her heartbeat pumping like hell looking into those wise fear-ridden eyes of her’s and seeing the way her hooves just dig so deeply into the snow.

Well I mean put yourself in her shoes.
If you found out that the giant bear that borke your horn and left a giant scar on your eye when you were a child was still alive and about to attack you and quite possibly kill you, you would be terrified too, right?
 
Shouldn’t it be an even bigger bear by now?

Scared, yes, but I tend to think that anyone who’d seen as much trouble as Tempest and lived through it would also be running.
 
Then again, this is a story and her and everyone else’s reactions in it are whatever will advance the plot.
