Well, it’s that time of year again. Equestria Daily’s Artist Training Ground event has started once again, which means it’s been about a year since I created this account! How time flies! I will once again be participating in the event and attempting to improve my art skills as I go. This year I want to try and connect my submissions together into an ongoing story of sorts; I saw other people doing that last year, and it looked like fun. The nature of the ATG means I can’t plan anything out, so hopefully it goes well.
 
Today’s prompt is Draw a pony standing / Draw a pony frozen in place. Derpy has asked her good friends Lyra and Bon Bon to meet her for something, but are confused when they don’t see her waiting for them. This is Derpy we’re talking about, which means something must’ve gone wrong (as the text box indicating Derpy’s current standing in this series implies). Seems a delicious muffin explosion has adhered our beloved mailmare in place, so she’ll need some help getting out of this mess first.
 
I’m gonna give shading a try; it’s something I don’t normally bother with, but I feel like it could really give my work some pop if done right. If you have any feedback in that regard, I’d appreciate it.
