Obviously whatever equivalent to First World Militaries that assuredly exist in the EQG Human World would utterly outclass the Storm Empire.

Okay so the Pillars got banished after Celestia went mirror hopping, which happened after NMM. Fits with the original mention of the Pony of Shadows where Castle-Mania said he was the product of lingering NMM magic.

The Mare On The Moon is visible, so this had to take place afterwards. Celestia said she only started visiting the mirror world as much as she did after Luna was gone, which clearly refers to her banishment. Celestia and Luna said in show they still owed him essays, so they were still students then, not so here. And Starswirl had a very different personality.
 
The above I can accept as a retcon, but the point is that Celestia was visiting the mirror world behind Starswirl’s back, damaging their relation, because she was distraught over losing Luna. There’s no way this could have happened as written in light of the changes. If it happened in some form, it should explain how it did to adjust for these retcons. Until then, I see no reconciling this with canon.
 
And how again do they know enough to flashback to them despite Celestia asking those involved never to speak of this again?

Being more powerful than Celestia makes some sense. Cadence’s element doesn’t have a limit since it’s an emotion unlike Celestia and Luna.

What are the Mirror Princesses doing here? How can they be flashing back to them if Celestia asked everyone involved never to speak of it again?
 
And didn’t retconning Starswirl to have disappeared before Luna’s banishment decolonized that story? If would have at least invalidated the comic as written so if it still happened in some form it should explain what changed.
