Guess who’s working on that fanfic he’s been talking about recently?XD
 
That’s right, folks: i’m actually making an official mlp adaptation of “The Count of Monte Cristo”, starring Shining Armor as the titular character. This here is my cover for the fanfic, which will be posted in moderation on Fimfiction.net on my channel, kahnac - Fimfiction. I’ll post the first chapter here on DA, as well, but afterwards, i’ll leave links to the upcoming chapters so those who actually LIKE MLP can join in, and share their thoughts without having to feel ashamed (though I can’t imagine why anyone would).
 
And as for the pic up above: for the context of the story, I decided to make an image which had a sort of compare, and contrast of our hero, Shining Dantes. And the parallels between his past life, and who he is after. On the left, you see him as he is 13 years later in the Chateau D’if prison, where prisoners are annually abused on the day they first arrived. In Shining’s case, he gets both a beating……….AND a series of lashes to go with it. Then he’s just left there to languish in his pain - alone. So is it really any wonder his hope dies every day, bit by bit until he’s a shell of his former self?
 
And on the right, of course, is Shining as The Count of Monte Cristo himself. A year later, and his wounds have long since healed, and his bodies been cleaned. However, he still keeps the scars he received in the prison - as well as the faded colors he gained five years into the prison before he met the Abbe’. A true symbol that his innocence was tarnished, and now he’s become bitter, hateful, and angry. When ponies see his scars, they usually assume they’re from some battles he fought, which adds to his mysterious, yet alluring character. Who’s he to deny them? To further add to his disguise, he alters his hairstyle, and uses a band to tie his hair into a pony tail, or braid, or whatever it is. His eyes are a much deeper blue to symbolize how much anger is boiling inside of him.
 
He intends to carry Hell to the doorstep of his enemies……and by all the powers that be, he WILL do it - no matter who he has to go through to see it done.
 
Also, yes: this is a living tribute to the Ink potts animatic series, hence why Shining shares the same suit as that series Edmond. Except, not completely, because I ended up changing it a bit since I could completely emulate it. But it still looks good, doesn’t it?
