Oh, dear. People are complaining about a small change YOU decided to make so it doesn’t contradict canon info. Really, now? One has to wonder how mind-boggingly insane one has to be in order to complain to you about any changes like this you decide to make. Instead of humoring the thought, I’ll tell you this instead:
 
Miss Ego, don’t let those people get under your skin. Your art is fantastic, and so is the attention to detail you have in your works. Any changes you felt like making are justified with the fact you are the artist, and no one has the right to tell you otherwise. Anyone complaining to you about such a minor change is completely out of their minds. It’s so sad it is actually quite funny.
 
Keep your chin up. Many people love your work, including I. It saddens me that there are those that make sure to let their stupidity heard, I can only hope that they silence themselves eventually. It’s hard to listen to intelligence with so much stupid being thrown at you.
 
Until then, I’ll toast to you! Once again, love your content.

Don’t worry so much about it, if you changed it because you like it this way then it shouldn’t matter what others think. You can never satisfy everyone, so just make sure you are satisfied yourself, it’s the only thing you can do.

Egophiliac, you’re possibly the best artist in this fandom.
 
I can’t see why anyone would complain about this change, since it’s such a minor thing that doesn’t alter the actual meaning of the comic, and keeps it in line with show canon… so it’s a win-win as far as I can see.
 
Please remember that people are more likely to write in when they’re annoyed about something, and for every one complaining about this there are plenty who love the blog.

I’m honestly shocked at the huge amount of flak I’ve been getting over it (if I thought my inbox had exploded from people demanding the change, geeze). It was something small and a change I wanted to make, why does that make me “weak”? :(
 
I dunno, normally I can just ignore stuff like this but with everything else going on it’s getting to me more than it should. Either I’ve ruined Slice by getting it wrong, or I’ve ruined it by being weak and pandering even though I changed it mainly because I liked the canon better…and either way I’ve been hearing nonstop about it since the episode aired because a stupid pony comic is SERIOUS BUSINESS. (╯°□°)╯︵ ɹןqɯnʇ

No harm here. Only a subtle change and it slightly recasts Scootaloo’s fear of flying story. I’d say having Rainbow Dash eventually actually agree to teach her is a neat way for her to realize the true source of her flying fears.

It’s a ridiculously minor change, plus now I can use it as a jumping-off point for later stories. I like it better this way. :)

Still kinda conflicts with cannon. And… retconning is weak. Everyone understands fanon is fanon. Just let it be.
