Someday in the distant past, back when the Mane 6 and Smash Gamer were only foals. Smash’s father, visited the Rock Farm in order to make a bargian with one of his close friends, Igneous Rock.
 
Igneous: Well, if it isn’t my old friend Photo-Clerk Studio. How are you doing?  
Photo: I am doing great, friend. And you seem to be doing great as well. Looks at Cloudy Quartz  
Cloudy: Sighs I know what you are thinking and ask you to stop thinking it.  
Photo: I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable, miss Quartz. I am just as glad to see you again.  
Igneous: So, what brings you to our farm in the first place?  
Photo: Looks back at Igneous I am glad you asked my old friend. As you probably know, we made a deal about our foals.  
Igneous: Did we? Thinks Oh yes! I remember now.  
Cloudy: Igneous, what is going on here?  
Photo: Allow me to explain miss Quartz. Your husband and I made a deal many years back that my son and your daughter would once they are old and mature enough, become a couple.  
Cloudy: Which one of my daughters?  
Photo: Yeah, about that. I originally planned to have Smash Gamer get hooked up with Maud. But then you made another daughter… and another one… AND ANOTHER ONE! So right now I don’t really care about which one of them my son gets hooked up with. As long as our bloodlines gets mixed for the next generation, then nothing else matters to me.  
Igneous: Well… Photo, I do understand that you are optimistic. But I would prefer if my daughters fall in love with somepony on their own terms.  
Cloudy: I agree! I am not going to force any of them to marry a pony that they may not like.  
Photo: I completley understand your concerns. Which is why I am raising my son to be a good citizen and stallion for the future.  
Cloudy: And what if neither one of my daughters want Smash or if Smash falls in love with somepony else?  
Photo: Then it would be unfortunate for us. But I will make sure it won’t happen and I trust that you will do the same.  
Cloudy: Are you saying that we have to raise our daughters as if they are our properties and not our children?  
Photo: What other choice do we have?
 
While the adults were talking to each other, the Pie sisters were playing nearby and happened to hear the whole conversation.
 
Marble: Starts crying I DON’T WANT TO BE MARRIED AWAY!!  
Maud: You won’t be.  
Limestone: Who does this Photo-Clerk Studio think he is?  
Pinkie: If it will make you happy sister, then I will do it in your place!  
Maud: Stop right there Pinkie!  
Pinkie: Huh? What is it Maud?  
Maud: We don’t even know who this “Smash Gamer” is and if he is anything like his father, then it will not go well for you.  
Pinkie: Sighs Yeah, maybe you are right.  
Maud: Then even if he is a nice colt now, he could still become a total jerk once he grows up. SPOILERS: “foreshadowing”  
Marble: Nods and stops crying Hmm-Hm.  
Pinkie: But can’t the same be said about us?  
Limestone: I guess! If I actually meet Photo’s son and do fall in love with him, then it won’t be because of his father.  
Marble: I do hope that Smash is nice… even if I haven’t seen him yet.  
Pinkie: We’ll just have to give him a chance once we actually meet him.  
Maud: And if he turns out to be a jerk and hurt either one of you, then I will break him!  
Pinkie: Hugs all her sisters¨  
Limestone: Here we go again…
