That is a long-a$$ way to solve that problem when dividing by 11 after the second step gets you 1 = 14x, so x = 1/14. Answer’s correct, at least.
 
As for the talent being “using dry eraser materials” …well, I guess he’s good at artwork with it, it can be a fun medium.
