As requested, it’s time to reveal Stainless Key’s (my OC) true form.
She likes to pretend to be a pony and doesn’t like other changelings too much. She’s jealous, snappy, impatient and loves providing an unsolicited advice. Just like me!
Her design was based on the beetle called Blue Banded Snout Weevil ^^
PS: Added eyelashes for more “female” look, but to be fair I do look like a man a bit IRL

Due to the bug theme, I can’t really blame him (or anyone) for having the headcanon of Chrysalis being a mother. After all: ants, bees, and wasps all have colonies where the queen is the mother of all of the workers.

I personally like the idea of her being the mother of a majority of the hive (probably not all though). And despite that, I don’t really headcanon her as a perfect loving parent either, especially given what happened in-series. I kind of picture her as more of an extremely flawed parent who has selfish tendencies and is possibly abusive as well. The grubs were trained to fight like warriors when they were just children after all.

Sounds as show accurate as Berserk’s series.
Eh, I try. For how I perceive Chrysalis, she isn’t completely sappy. She goes to her youngest Changelings as a means of stress relief and comfort. She’ll also listen to other Changelings but don’t expect for her to be completely enthusiastic towards everything.
It can work if you’re creative, like trying to make Bug Queen a mother-like character.

Especially after Where and Back Again.
Chrysalis doesn’t strike me as a kind of pony who cares what her drones think.
It’s called dark humor. He wouldn’t spend so much time and energy drawing something he doesn’t like.
Plus, where else would we get our dose of dark humor?
Dude, it’s just their opinions. They still like the show overall otherwise we’d not hear from them regularly. :T
Those kind of artists are still with the fandom just depress me personally.
Based on what I’ve seen from his art, it may have (though he’s complained a lot even before the Changeling stuff too).
That makes it sound like Berzie’s creator has hit his breaking point with the show.
Mean Lucario’s right. His character was like that before the design change. He’s always been a jerk.
That being said, he does use that OC to make complaints about the new Changelings quite a bit.
I believe he was like that before, though.
Personally, I think its just so Berzie’s creator can rant about how he doesn’t like how the Changelings’ default appearances have to be different and colorful.
That’s just how some people are.
