it is pretty much the textbook definition of creepy, when you’re trying to act harmless and unthreatening, in order to get someone’s guard down, so you can take advantage of them. but… you can’t blame anyone for not knowing something. if you have to blame someone, it’d be the people who didn’t teach them all those years.

I mostly see it from younger people. But when I see adults do it, it gets even more embarrassing because they really should be old enough to know better to act that way around strangers. It’s cringy at best and creepy at worst.
yeah, and also the passive aggressive roleplaying, like when someone’s all “*snuggles and cuddles with huggles*” out of the blue, and you know they’re typing that thinking, “yes! surely now I’ll be in their inner circle.” it’s kind of sad though, if nobody ever taught them that stuff was wrong.
