Well, there was that one time Twilight considered using a reform spell on Discord.

Considering the fact that she sought a young child for the sole purpose of specifically exploiting her magical ability justso that she could groom and manipulate her for a position that said child didn’t want, let alone ask for, yeah, I’d say Celestia is a terrible person.

This holds up really well with all the complaints about the Legion of Doom not being reformed.

No, I just agree with the first thing. Stop redeeming bad guys. Do more Storm Kings, stop showing Equestria as being a bunch of push overs. It’s really impossible to believe Celestia kept the entire nation from falling into destruction when Luna was gone since she can’t keep it from getting screwed over every other week with four alicorns, the Elements of Harmony, whatever those old heroes are off doing, whatever you consider Starlight, it’s just … not believable within the context of the show any more. Celestia was shown to be real strong, every single hint we get about her was a benevolent but powerful ruler. And then Lauren Faust left the show and everything we’ve gotten since then is that Celestia is a clueless ditz that probably doesn’t even run her own government, and if it wasn’t for that one thing she did with the sun even her status as an alicorn wouldn’t matter. Because apparently unicorns can be just as magically capable as alicorns, despite the fact unicorns can’t move the sun alone, but Celestia can.
 
Even children could see through the BS of “A nation that’s 1000 years old can’t seem to stop being attacked despite being at the height of its power, and none of these threats managed to strike during the much longer period where they were weak.” I swear, the show has been fanfiction ever since the start of season 4.
