In the case of Pinkie Pie, that’s definitely true. But for Dash it just works somehow. Maybe because she’s supposed to be like that to some extent. Pinkie’s supposed to be fun and lovable but I don’t understand how anyone over the age of 6 finds her to be anything other than insufferable.
As you get older, obnoxiousness becomes less and less amusing.

I think you’re right.
She along with Rarity don’t seem to align with their elements for most parts. They tend to deviate the most out of the six, with Rarity having greedy and self centered streaks. And Rainbow having rebellious tendencies.
