I remember way back in March when episode 1 of season 8 aired, and people were confused whether Smolder was male or female. (In fact, to this day, none of the characters have used a third person singular pronoun like “she” or “her” to refer to Smolder. Trust me, I’ve been paying attention. We know Smolder is female because the director of the show confirmed so in a tweet.) I think this split second frame of the hanging from the ceiling shot really makes it clearer that Smolder’s a girl. I think it’s the eyelashes.
 
Actually, the male tag is for Spike. Not Smolder.
