we set the trash on fire after it reaches critical mass of decomposing noots. Ideally, every location overrun with noots gets properly scorched and then doused with onion juice to let the fauna and flora endangered by noots grow in peace.

no but you see, trash is where they feed! and what if someone throws out some more cheeties!? then its an explosion of noots!
I prefer the bait&beat technique, you can club up to a dozen noots after you lure them with a well-placed pack of cheeters. Taking them out one by one ain’t gonna do much. Then just pack them into paper bags and throw them in the trash where they belong.
