(clear his throat) The Mane Six and Spike are gonna seek help from an old friend of yours, return to Equestria, kicked the Storm King off the throne, and save you, their friends, family, and the rest of Equestria from the Storm King’s wrath of tyranny over your kingdom, so you can have your kingdom and crown-ship back, and they’ll clear all of the storm clouds away for good. You all’ve got nothing to worry about. Your life is in their hooves. (makes a stupid face and drools at the Storm King’s victims that Tempest petrified but nothing happened)

I wish the royal guards of Equestria are present during the Canterlot invasion. I guess Celestia called the guards to fight the Storm Creatures before being petrified by Tempest offscreen. And I guess the royal guards did fight off the Storm Creatures and their master the Storm King offscreen. But they failed and were captured, imprisoned, punished, and enslaved by the Storm King and his Storm forces. Even though I see one guard at the ending credits. I agree that the Storm King and his army captured, imprisoned, punished, and enslaved all the royal guards across Equestria including some at the Crystal Empire because I bet the Storm king turned some of the Equestrian royal guards into his hard labor working slaves.

Storm King: Guards! Sizes this guard and get him out and imprisoned him for replacement. I am your ruler now!

Its a reference to that moment in the SpongeBob movie where King Neptune freezes Krabs and Squidward shows concern over it, only because Krabs wont be able to sign his paychecks.
