Its reptilian faic is exaggerated in this image to explain why Rarity is horrified. In the game they’re actually very smoll, very innocent little dragon chameleons.
 
 

 
…. of course years later then they gave us a beefed up version of them that’s on steroids, kind of as a joke, for a mount…. I’m not really sure how lore-accurate this version of them is but they’re hardly supposed to be ferocious. I always considered the giant mount version more of a meme-joke than a real final form to these little things, they’ve implied for years that these things are basically supposed to just be little birds that like to eat bugs. Lizard birds.
