The rules for webm is no longer than 30 seconds for anything that is strictly official content.
Is it okay if it’s an 18 second clip with audio? I’m assuming so but… eh, I’ll upload it and it can always get taken down if it’s not allowed
All this BG user seems to be doing is making a sequence of images (offcenter too, so likely screencaps with poor region control) and then making an unoptimized GIF. It is much better to make a proper optimized gif or just Webm the segment (within the 30 sec rule).
Well, this is still well below the file size limit.. so…
But, yeah, just encoding as VP8 or VP9 and converting to webm is best…. gifs are extremely inefficient… APNG is better (24-bit colors, more efficient) but at that point you should just do webm
You could always just upload it as a WebM

What’s really funny is that this is an extremely low quality capture but in a high res (which just takes more file size)… heh
And having it lower res but more smoother is much more preferable, op
