Yep, all their experiences, the things they learned about themselves and each other, and the threats they confronted as friends are completely invalidated. Those good feelings I had watching them bond? Completely wiped away, like I never felt them at all. Thanks, Anon!

Actually, their lessons put in a lot of the nuances that one never really thinks about until confronted. Look at all the things the Mane Six learned over the season despite the second episode having them become friends.
@Twiface
I don’t think the school of friendship was ever an actual school. It was a more of a social program then anything else with one or two history lessons sprinkled in the middle.
@Twiface
One that works towards diplomacy and customer service?
But none of that matters, the students here aren’t expected to be done with an education at her school. The CMC weren’t allowed to join for that very reason - they still needed their regular schooling.
@genervt
I mean, in Equestria, ponies’ future jobs are based on what their Cutie Mark is anyway. Twilight’s Friendship School could be like a big Catechism course school.
The EEA guidelines may be strict, but at least they provide an actual education. Twilight’s refusal to conform to standards only hurts her students in the long run.
Not honorary, “genuine”. And I don’t know, maybe they spent too much time on tumblr
…Why would the CMC have honorary gender studies degrees?
Or gender studies degrees shudders
However, they’ll be getting actually valid high school degrees soon enough.

The funniest thing is that they “learned” friendship on their own in the very first episode, rendering season 8 completely pointless.
But the main purpose of the school was to form diplomats and missionaries, and given the state of their homelands, you don’t need too much for that.
That may be one of the first things we see in season 9.

It is a real school.
Just not an EEA school.
@Twiface
Twily has the blessing of Celestia (and now also Neighsay).
She also provides an education.
Her students will be fine.

Exactly!

Edited because: added picture to prove my point
Good coffee there.
Even if it got accredited, it’s still just a liberal arts college. What kind of a degree is ‘Friendship Studies,’ anyway?
The school was accredited by that point…and without that, it’s still run by one of the rulers of the country and widely known too.
