It’s easier on the viewer to follow along if the creature has a unique body shape to better distinguish between male and female. But since they all (save for tallest Kirin) have the same body shape, face and snout shape…  
The eyelashes is all we have to go by…  
Wait a second, since the leader Kirin went to the extreme lengths to solve a simple disagreement and argument by demanding that ALL of the Kirin give up their ability to speak, and therefore putting all of the Kirin on the same level…  
What if she also took away their male body shapes, trying to force them to all look the same?  
What if she was doing all of this crazy stuff to do away with all of their unhappy emotions because she read Starlight Glimmers book of Equality?

Well…if they follow the usual rule of eyelashes = female…
