Kinda funny because the flashbacks didn’t show her go full on Nerik, like her subjects…
Did the episode show her drinking the cure? Otherwise I’ll just have to go with she refused to talk as long every Kirin else was sushed…
Also if there was a sentient race of giraffes, how tall would their leader be? :p
I doubt that second bit was part of the requirement.
But lots of pony-type species seem to look up to The Tallest amongst them.
Also, this means the kirin leader Rain Shine either
a) walked into the Stream of Silence despite probably already mastered her emotions
b) kept the Vow of Silence through sheer willpower instead of magical alteration

It’s part of the requirements for ascending from regular size Kirin to tall kirin, that and the willingness to remove the emotions and the ability to speak from your subjects….
