The puppy seemed to be purposefully ignoring her as they walked along, swerving around and nearly tripping her just to sniff everything in his path. Turquoise Edge had somehow been put in charge of training Rocco, since Mel was busy with her musical career and the kids were too young to handle such responsibility. Great. She didn’t even like the dog.
”Hey! I’m talking to you!” Turquoise pulled on Rocco’s leash. “Stop sniffing around so we can get to work!”
Rocco turned his head and cocked it in confusion, before continuing on his way.
Turquoise gritted her teeth and yanked on the leash. “Heel!”
Now dragged over to the mare’s side, Rocco proceeded to lift his leg and pee on her hooves.
”Celestia dammit-“
”Look at that, not even the dog likes you.”
Turquoise looked up to see a certain vindictive pink pegasus approaching her. Galaxy Guard. As if this day could get any worse…
Galaxy stopped right in front of Turquoise and sneered. “Hello, Killer.”
Turquoise narrowed her eyes in disgust. “Hey, Asshole.”
”You didn’t tell me you got a dog. I don’t know how they let you adopt it. After all, felons can’t be trusted with pets.”
”It was a gift for my children,” Turquoise grumbled. The dog growled with her.
”Oh! Your children!” Galaxy feigned surprise. “Aww, you’re getting them presents so they don’t suspect their mother is a MURDERER.”
”Hey! Leave my family out of this!”
”Just saying,” Galaxy said snootily, “If I were that little farm filly, I would’ve left-“
All of a sudden, Turquoise felt a jolt as Rocco yanked on the leash. With his hair standing on end and his teeth bared viciously, he was glaring daggers right at Galaxy.
“What the buck?” Galaxy looked down in revulsion. “Does it have rabies?”
At that, Rocco bounded at Galaxy, barking aggressively and dragging Turquoise through the dirt as he chased his target.
”Sit! Lie down! Heel!” Turquoise called out every command she could think of. “Stop!”
As Galaxy looked back, Turquoise swore there was fear in her eyes. “Sweet Celestia! Get it away from me!” She took to the air and bolted off just before Rocco could bite her tail. Immediately afterwards, Rocco slowed to a stop and went back to his owner with what looked like a prideful grin.
”Rocco, what gives?” Turquoise sat up and brushed the dirt off herself. “Chasing ponies you don’t like just because you can? You’re gonna get yourself killed!”
Rocco didn’t seem to listen as he walked over to the mare and began licking her face.
”Alright, alright!” Turquoise let out a laugh and patted his head. “She deserved it anyway. Good boy, Rocco.”
