Actually, it’s supposed to work like this: AJ gives Pinkie Pie some ropes for christmas, because she’s ever the practical thinker and Pinkie thinks about kinky and impractical stuff immediately - and Pinkie gives AJ a collar and a leash for the exact opposite reasons.
