“Am I almost done?” Sweetie Belle gasped.

“Ten more minutes. Then it’s time for your sit-ups,” Rarity said with a bemused smile.

“Ugh!” Sweetie Belle groaned. “I hate this! When I was younger, I could eat whatever I wanted without gaining weight!”

Rarity sighed wistfully. “I know how you feel, Sweetie Belle. My body went through the same changes when I was your age. Like you, I learned the hard way that a lady has to work to maintain her figure.

Sweetie Belle looked at her older sister. After several weeks of dieting and exercising, Rarity was mostly back to her slim self. Though she was still rather large in the hips, she was sporting a fashionably flat tummy and slender arms. Rarity was enjoying the fact that she could actually fit into the stunning clothes she designed. Meanwhile, Sweetie Belle had made minimal progress. She looked down disdainfully at the excess pudge around her middle, which was turning out to be quite stubborn.

“Give it to me straight, Sis. Do you think I can lose my lumps before we leave for our trip?”

Rarity suppressed a chuckle, “Now darling, you must set realistic goals. If you stick to your workout plan, you will see improvement, but you should accept the fact that you’ll be going to the beach with a muffin top.”
