Well, i have a headcanon about the real form of princess Eris is actually the R63 Discord, but because of her inferiority complex with her cousin, be a shadow of him even in a statue form, she really need change her appearance to not be compared to discord, instead, to be superior to Discord…

Heh what if Eris looks more like her “true form” if she even has one…  
But it’s Discord who wants to look unique?

Just from looking at it I’m pretty sure the design might be a Tzeentch reference. All tne drama about this design is probably just as IDW planned.

I prefer this than a dumb r63 Discord. Pls be creative, not green.

Maybe Princess Eris have a Inferiority complex backstory.
 
She previosly have the appearance of a female Discord in her childhood but for the focus of attention that was her cousin, she wanted to shine but most of the time they gives credit to Discord, so, she now use a different style of chaos based in the entropy and/or luck and having a different appearance, but she still have that complex, that´s why she insulted her cousin when nobody asked about he.

I was thinking. Since Eris is the female version of Discord, wouldn’t that mean she can just simply change her form like he can? Maybe Eris wanted to look like this so people won’t confuse her with Discord.
