Story: When Sunset Shimmer visited Equestria before the holidays, she mentioned a human equivalent of Heart’s Warming called Christmas. She also talked about the gift giver of Christmas, Santa Claus, who was described as a big jolly old man who rode on a sleigh with reindeer to deliver presents around the world in one night. Pinkie Pie wondered if Heart’s Warming could have it’s own version of Santa. She needed to fatten somepony up and have them become Santa, but who? She decided that Twilight Sparkle, one of her close friends and Princess of Friendship, would be a perfect choice because of her love for food and great leadership. Yeah, “Sparkle Claus” had a nice ring to it.
