I can blame it on 2 levels. Of course I blame the writers, bit there's still the fact that, well, we're supposed to get immersed in the show and invested in the characters and think of the characters like people, so there's still the surface level of the characters being annoying people. When the writers write characters badly, it results in them being bad people and unlikable. Like here where Twilight just walks in the door with Sunset unannounced without telling Celestia Sunset reformed _for some reason._ Like, seriously, what the fuck?
