spike: yeah princess celestia gave me to twilight as an entrance exam test she had to hatch me and when she did she got into princess celestia’s school for gifted unicorns. after that I was kinda living with twi’s parents and princess celestia and then later when twi got older I lived with her and helped her with her studies.

smolder: so principle twi hatched you?

spike: yeah why do you ask?

smolder: well I think its kinda weird that you don’t call her “mom” usually when young welps are born they imprint on the first creature they see and when they do they immediately know that’s there mother.
