That’s the thing, when it comes to artist doing the SFW previews with an actual SFW variant, I don’t mind. But when they just come out with the crop shots along with a large “DONATE TO MY PATREON TO SEE MORE STUFF” is where I start to have questions.
 
Not that I don’t mind them advertising their stuff, as I do support people on Patreon.
 
So I hit the link and scroll down to the side just to get a feel for their pricing model. If it’s a reasonable price, then I’m all for it. You have some artists who I think (and this is my opinion so take it with a grain of salt) are modest about their pricing where it’s $1 or $2 to see art, then there’s the $3 or $5 model where it’s obvious that the artist is trying their best to be negotiable to their patrons especially given that there are other artists they may want to subscribe to. But even then, a $5 price tag can be a bit daunting because not everyone’s budget can accommodate that on a monthly basis. But this one has a price of model of  
$1: Oh, you exist, thanks I guess.  
$5: Hello, I guess you like my stuff. Here’s something, but you don’t get what you’re really here for.  
$7: …So, you really want that stuff? Well I guess I can throw you a bone once or twice a month.  
$20: Yeah, you are definitely a follower, want some art?
 
The $20 tag is reasonable because of the commission that comes along with it. But that’s about where reason ends for me. I have a preference for the raunchy but I can’t give that much knowing it only comes towards the end of the month and my email will be spammed with a bunch of content that I don’t really sign up for nor that I would like to have. I know I can’t say anything to persuade opinions because artists will charge what they want, but most of the other artists I’ve seen have a model of quality. For example…  
$1: Thanks for donating.  
$2-3: You get my art but not the risky side of it.  
$3-5: You get ALL my art but you don’t get the PDF.  
$7-10: You get the PDF with all the edits. Oh, and the art too.  
+$20: You get the PDF, the art, and a monthly commission.  
With this pricing model, it’s too much forcing the patron’s hand of buying into some content that’s not really to their liking. So again, great artist but really questionable price model.
 
There are artist who do the whole SFW variant as an ad, but then they come around and release the content at the end of the year (Vavacung is an artist known for that but their pricing model is absurd). But then you have artists who divide their viewer base with pricing tiers that aren’t fair to the patron’s desire and permanently keep them locked behind a paywall, forcing them to either pay up and drop other artists for the budget or leave with a lesser deal that won’t have what you want (Kayla-Na is notorious for this, and censoring art permanently for low-end patrons and viewers alike).
 
As for this one, I’m unsure if this is the former or the latter.

I just looked and I saw some nice stuff on “patreon preview.” it’s nice when artists still post SFW edits of their stuff instead of teasing cropped stuff

I drew a blank when tagging this earlier, but I just remembered that “patreon preview” is already a tag. They’re practically synonyms.

I’m gonna add the “paywall content” tag for stuff like this so that others don’t have to see it.
