Get ready to be art-spammed! This is number one of a seven-part series commissioned by someone over on Deviant Art, based on the “purse meme” going around awhile ago. All purses and outfits are designed by me, with a lot of help and inspiration from Our Grand High Ruler, Google.
 
Here we have Rarity, and the contents of her purse. Rarity designed her purse and outfit, naturally. I think she probably went to some sort of natural preserve, saw some peacocks, and then went home in a creative frenzy. Then, she’d go on and make outfits and purses for all her friends, because why not?
 
The main thing you’ll notice is that Rarity carries a LOT of stuff wherever she goes. I think her friends probably wonder how she gets it all in there (like a clown car, but a purse ) . A girl has to be prepared!

Hair acoutrements- there was so much it would have been ridiculous to draw everything. She’s got spray, extra hairbands and clips and a folding brush, and whatever she thinks would be necessary. She’d even have extra for her friends. Naturally, she’d keep everything organized, so her hair things have their own bag.
 
Makeup bag- You may recognize this one from another commission I did awhile back where Rarity is giving Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer a makeover. A bag that looks like her face to keep the bare essentials!
 
Travel sewing kit- Obviously!
 
Flexible jewelry case- if she needs to change her bling halfway through the day, or if something breaks ( it happens! ) She also keeps pieces to make her own jewelry if she has down time.
 
Purse- beaded and jeweled, with gold thread detail.
 
Hygiene kit
 
Scarf- multipurpose and pretty! One of her friends gave this to her for her birthday (you decide who; I never got around to that detail )
 
Notebook- to keep not just notes, but sketches, magazine clippings, photos, fabric swatches, and anything else that she finds inspiring.
 
Phone and earbuds- the design on her phone case is something she came up with and had specially made.
 
Glasses and case
 
Wallet- pleated white leather with crystal embellishments.
