Agreed. Afterall, things like U-scan checkouts exist, although mainly as an option.

I always hear that about YouTube comments but I think it’s a bit of an exaggeration. Yes, there are some comment sections which get flooded within seconds by people randomly throwing around random racist slurs and every horrible thing you can think of. But in general, a lot of YouTube comment sections are civil (like many of the ones for Let’s Plays).
In that case, everyone might as well abandon computer technology.
Yeah…. YT comment section is pretty much one of the worst place on the internet if not the worst. And honestly I think they could do better on the automated takedown, probably one of the reason why you shouldn’t leave those thing on bots. And I have to say that I honestly don’t agree with their new guidelines. But I guess with the raise of those snowflake, nothing that they can do some much about it.

YT is indeed still popular, but it’s doing its riddled itself with problems; automatic takedowns, complete lack of human moderation, absolute disconnect from its userbase, bowing down to the media corporations it was supposed to be an alternative to, etc.
Not sure what you mean by “dead”, the last time I check YouTube still rank as the second most visiting site by Alexa.com right behind google and pretty much beating Facebook to third place. So the site that significantly lose visitors for last year is Facebook, it used to be on second place.
YouTube is already dead, we’re just pupetting it’s corpse pretending it’s still alive.
Uhh, for the nsfw, it could be pillowfort or mastodon.
Twitter?
Yeah and honestly I have a bad news for those people that think other should have a “real job”. The rise of automation, will render pretty much job that require muscle more than brain obsolete in few decades. Meanwhile job that like freelancer, online jobs and stuff that require more brain power will stay for much longer. So yeah in the future we won’t have much people doing the “real job.”
Exactly.
No one does. If it pays, it’s a job.
You don’t get to decide what constitutes a “real job” m8.
To the liking of advertisers like Nike, Apple, Toyota, MetLife, and every other major corporation that scorns anything remotely controversial in fear their investors or stock value may get hit.
And to make things worse, every major company chases the big money and gobbles up the little players that weren’t along the way. It won’t be long until the internet is as safe, monotonous, and advertiser friendly (ie. devoid of any user generated content that may result in anyone getting offended for whatever reason) as cable TV networks.
This comment is good 😂
Someone needs to make sunset say this

You do work, you get paid… how is that not a job?
If you think it’s easy to pull off and get money for nothing, why don’t you try it?
Unless it’s Internet welfare/donations, then it’s just an allowance. Getting a disability check isn’t a job either, and neither is this.
I fail to see how making a living doing something you love is a bad thing.
