I think it’s a similar concept as if the younger man is dating a older or slightly older woman.
Most normal boys and young men for instance won’t look a it as weird or strange, but impressive that their friend could secure the interest of an older woman. And it doesn’t have to be a 18 to 20 year old young man dating a 45 year old woman, it can be something like a 14 year old boy dating a 16 or 17 girl.
I could go on and on about this, but I won’t for the sake of not wanting this to be a novel of a comment.
