I know that, but they are not classed as “the animal kingdom” like bunnies or birds or cats, the ponies are actual people. Like you said, humans are technically part of the animal kingdom, but are not seen as such.
@PurpleWonderPower
But they are. Just like humans, who are technically animals. Sure, we are a higher tier, but we are still a part of the animal kingdom.
@AppleCider120
I KNOW its a mythological realm with magic and things, but my point is that the ponies live like people, in houses, with families and marriages and jobs, and authority. They’re not just “the animal kingdom.”
@PurpleWonderPower
I said that the changes were related to the EQG side. I didn’t say she hasn’t made changes. And sure, they are like us in many ways, but their world isn’t like ours much more than simple word association. Their world is literally full of mythological creatures and the god of chaos. Their world couldn’t be more different.
@AppleCider120
But they’re not just animals, like horses and ponies in real life, who are “just sentient”. Their world and life is literally exactly the same as ours, with different cities, and holidays and clubs and schools and things. The only difference is that they’re ponies instead of humans. They’re a pony version of human life. And as for Twilight not initiating changes, that is absolute rubbish.
@PurpleWonderPower
And that’s where you shouldn’t put human logic into the equation. Sure, they may have human qualities, but they aren’t human, they’re just sentient. They have their own rules, laws, language, etc. Now sure, EQG kinda messes with the formula on their end, but we don’t see Twily initiating changes in her dimension, yet. So, quite frankly, viewing them as “human-like” isn’t unfounded, but since humans were never a part of the original G4 equation, comparing them to us is kinda strange.

But the ponies in this story aren’t just “the animal kingdom”, they’re actual characters and protagonists, actual people. Creatures like bunnies and birds and fish and insects can be classed as animals in MLP, but ponies/griffons/yaks/changelings, etc are not. Technically, humans are animals too, but they don’t play the role of “the animal kingdom” in life, and neither do ponies in MLP. Like in Zootropolis or Sing, or other anthropomorphic animal movies, the animals play the roles of actual people.
@PurpleWonderPower
Eh, trust me, when we’re talking about equines, it’s not that strange. Especially when you realize how prevalent incest is in the animal kingdom.
Wait, I never realized that. Twilight let him nuzzle up against her flank, while Rarity keeps it to muzzle, lol. Spike has already gotten closer with Twilight.
But sparity is a canon)

Edited because: Grammar correction
