JK, there’s no resoluton to this that isn’t messy, but according to the credits, and to the voice actor, this one is HBA and the one we’ve all been calling Half baked Apple, because of the APPLE HALFS on his cutie mark, is Red hickory.
 
I don’t get it either.

@RIG but in the link The guy who voices big mac says he voiced the pony saying “hot hot hot” and is credited as Half Baked Apple (and that’s what his cutiemark looks too, like a baked apple)

The fandom didnt choose “red hickory” it was like 3 people.
 
And bucky just sound cute, but apple roast/roasted??

v I see “Red” more like complement to the name,like the “Big” of “Big Macintosh/McIntosh and that’s works perfectly for pony names.
 
And hey,At least the name is not a horse pun or trying to shove a real life person/fictional character “reference” down our throats just because it bears almost or close no none resemblance to them.
 
We simply need to avoid that.

I’m fine with Red Hickory.
 
However, based on coat color and cutie mark, I think there is a good chance that he is in fact the one known as Caramel Apple. And the mare who got that name assigned would in fact have been called Baked Apples. (>>160643 since they also called Apple Fritter (show) Apple Stars (toy))
