Description

I suspect Lightning Dust will return in G5 as an anti-heroine redeemed, but with a different name because Rick Berman takes over production and doesn’t want to pay royalties to the G4 staff.

Ultimately, while Lightning ended up creating the Washouts (and nearly got Scootaloo severely injured or killed), Nick Lorcano would ultimately build a ship called the Nova One, and went around the Alpha Quadrant, seeming destroying a Klingon Bird Of Prey, then a Romulan vertical warbird, then an Orion ship, then a Ferengi marauder, and finally a Bynar ship. In reality, the ships weren’t destroyed, but teleported to a region of space located within a trynar shield. The ships’ captains would then be marooned in a planet called Sherbal IV, where Boimler, Mariner, Tendi, and T’Lyn, stumbled upon them. Mariner would unite the captains, only to be captured by Lorcano and taken to where the ships are. Mariner would then sabotage Nick’s message to Starfleet, and steal the Ferengi Genesis Device which Locarno posseses. Mariner would then get chased around in a nebula aboard a Sabrerunnner-class starship called the USS Passao.The crew of the USS Cerritos would then ram a giant Orion ship into the trynar shield to gain entry and rescue Mariner. Because of the shield’s breach, the rest of Nova Fleet would abandon Locarno. Locarno would disable the Passao. Mariner would then activate the Ferengi Genesis Device, and she and Locarno have a final showdown before Mariner gets rescued by Captain Freeman aboard her captain’s yacht, leaving Locarno behind as the device goes off (due to lacking two bars of latinum), destroying both the Passao and Nova One, killing Lorcano in the process.

Correction, same actor, same backstory, originally intended to be the same character but was changed for “production reasons”
 
(the offical explanation is that they weren’t sure they could get the same actor to come back)

Although yes, Locarno actually DID show some redeeming qualities from the start. Lightning had to work her way there. XD

WRONG! Twilight Sparkle is closer to Tom Paris in terms of omni-capabilities. Also, Tom Paris knew that he did something wrong, and owned up to it which got him kicked out. Lightning Dust didn’t consciously recognise that what she was doing was wrong until Spitfire reprimanded her
