Honestly I prefer the CGI turtles over the costume ones they were great costumes don’t get me wrong but they still looks like costumes where the CGI ones look like actual living creatures
Yeah, from what I hear he was hardly involved in the movie.
Truthfully, despite it’s flaws, I enjoyed it. I liked the sequel “Out of the Shadows” better, (and it corrected some things wrong with the previous, like it focused on the turtles more then April, Shredder gets more screentime, the Foot soldiers are actually ninjas instead of gun-toting terrorists, the humor is a bit better, and it actually uses more classic TMNT characters) so I was a li’l disapointed it’s never going to get a third movie now.
If memory serves you right it was wild things that people said Michael bay said this but never actually showed him saying that or even that tweet of him saying that. Of course Michael bay was only executive producer
According, to some rumors actually they never planned on making the turtles aliens in the first place, and it was a misunderstanding that got outta hand, but I’m not sure if that’s true. There was a brief line by April in the movie that kinda poked fun at the alien thing.
Apparently, they did backpedal on how Shredder was handled, as fans wanted to keep the character Japanese.
Come to think of it wasn’t the reason a turtles in the 2014 movie one no longer aliens was because of fan backlash?
EXTERMINATE!
Fans had some influence on the TMNT 2012 series too. Like when some fans started to find Michelangelo too annoying, they toned him down a bit. Apparently, they brought Mona Lisa in, (though, now she’s an alien instead of a mutant) and ‘shipped with Raph, because that’s a popular character & ’ship in the fanbase.
I heard one of the reasons why the daleks in doctor Who got the ability to fly was because fans used to joke on how they could be defeated by stairs

Fans would constantly complain about Lothor and his jokes in Ninja Storm, so the next villain, Mesagog, was taken a lot more seriously. Writers and actors would post on Rangerboard. Most of the past rangers in the 15th anniversary special were those that Rangerboard liked.
Really? How did fans influence them?

There’s a joke about her eyes in that GIF.
She delivers mail too.
And I know there was another background pony that would deliver the mail before but they replaced him with Derpy because of the fans.
Actually, Derpy’s first appearance (with the fandom-nod derped eyes) after episode 1 was as a delivery pony. There was already a background character who was a mailpony, so the writers just had her deliver packages instead of mail. Eventually they made it part of her background story, with her working at an Equestrian equivalent of UPS.
In my case, this is what caused me to look into this show. Before then, the most that I have seen fans influenced a show was Power Rangers but it was never to this extense.
Perhaps, though sometimes I wonder if too much fanon is starting to enter the show. I can’t think of any other modern cartoon that has this much fan-service. (Aside from Nick TMNT 2012 bringing back many classic 1990s TMNT characters like Slash, Mutagen Man, ect.)
No, the fanon was always about her delivering mail.
And that’s what the show eventually went with.
@northern haste
Her Solid Snake impression was amusing.

she’s also the pony you find in the cardboard box
Nope, 3rd time if you count Lazy Fan and the original Muffins
