>The creature makes it’s way through the library pulling books from the shelves.  
>It reaches the area you and Taku were doing research.  
>It picks up one of the books Taku was searching.  
>The creature begins caressing the book.  
>It abruptly starts jittering before making a mad dash for the stairs you came up.  
>Panicked your eyes dart around looking for another way back downstairs.  
>”There!” You shout pointing to another staircase on the other side of the library.  
>The three of you rush to the stairs.  
>despite the creatures ungainly locomotion it is closing the gap rapidly.  
>”SHITSHITSHITSHTSHITSHIT!!!” Moonie screams as she gallops.

>The creature is almost upon you.  
>You quickly pull a chair from a table and throw it in the creatures path and continue running.  
>It merely hops over and continues it’s pursuit.

>Taku turns around sliding across the floor as she does so.  
>She unsheathes her katana once more and swings it into piercing position and holds her ground.  
>The creature charges right into it, piercing just below it’s lowest arm.  
>it stops.  
>A white liquid oozes from the wound.  
>You and Moonie stop as well.  
>Taku lets our a relieved sigh.  
>The relief is short lived as the creature grabs hold of the sword blade and fulls it further into itself along with Taku.  
>As soon as Taku is well within it’s reach it grabs hold of her neck and lifts her off the ground.
