finals are pretty much over for me, so I’m just banging out scribbles.

That is YOUR opinion. Many fans think Sparity is great. There ARE no bad ships, because everyone likes what they like. I bet there are people out there who hate the ships you love, but that doesn’t make them wrong.
There’s such thing as an odd taste in ships, but there’s no such thing as bad. People do ship incest ships. It would be wrong for them to become canon, but fan shipping has no reality limits. I mean, I really hate Fluttercord and Trenderjack, but for the people who do like them, it’s not wrong to ship them.

There are objectively bad ships. Like Sparity. But of course that’s an extreme example, most people aren’t immoral enough to make a grown mare child groom or straight up rape a baby dragon.

There’s no such thing as good or bad taste in ships. Everyone ships what they like. There’s no right or wrong ship to like.
When they have good taste

I don’t like the guy either, but be fair. It’s just as plausible, if not more so, that he hid behind her because he legitimately expected her to protect him. Twilight’s used her powers in front of him, he knows she can do stuff. Still not exactly admirable behavior (particularly since he’s supposed to be a lifeguard), but nowhere near as bad.
that doesn’t mean we have to like it blindly.
Because no matter what happens in the show, we’re stuck with what we’ve got.

All I can say is, the more timber endangers sci twi, the better reason for her to dump him and I’m counting on that to happen. And you’re right about two things, there’s no coming back from when timber used sci twi as a shield and sci twi would have a better relationship with flash instead

He uses his girlfriend as a human shield. There is no coming back from that. That shows that when the chips are down he will sacrifice twilight to save his own ass. Like I said he could have ran away and it would have had the same effect on his character without puting someone else in danger
And flash likeing Sci-twi can go beyond looks. Flash can see Sci-twi as her own person and still fall in love with that person. Heck it would probably be a better relationship then the princess cause he would be able to spend more time with Sci-twi and get to know her more.

We openly see him doing things like collecting firewood and organizing campers. He even offers to handle Filthy Rich when he shows up again, but Gloriosa tells him she’ll handle it. Gloriosa’s own stubborness is clearly part of her breakdown. The climax makes it very apparent that he cares deeply for her.
Not only that, but Timber explicitly said that wanting to get rid of the camp was something he said when he was younger and clearly regrets it.
Timber’s reaction to the monster is a joke taken way too seriously, and a perfectly normal reaction after the last monster he faced was his sister who nearly crushed him.
And Flash hooking up with Sci Twi could very easily be taken as “he only likes her because she looks like Princess Twilight”, and that’s fucked up, dude.

ok the ego joke is more annoying then anything
I don’t think timber cares about the camp. if he did he would have actually helped his sister, instead we see her taking on the work lode on her own and contributing to her mental brake down. heck I can see him wanting to see the camp shut down cause he said he didn’t like being there so much. we see more of him but that dissent make him very likeable,
also he used twilight as a human shield. I don’t care if it’s met to be a joke, you don’t you your girlfriend as a shield. if they wanted to show he was really a coward he could have just ran away, no endanger his girlfriend to save his own ass
flash yes in under developed but he’s a third tear character, we are not meant to expect much from him. also we could have seen his struggle to try and get over his feelings with twilight and try to form a meaningful relationship with her but instead the writers just paired him with sunset just to get rid of him.
