Why do people complain about clop so much? Just a fetish a minority of the fandom have, if you don’t like it it’s easy to filter. And like The Smiling Pony said, a very very small percentage of the pictures on this site are actually porn. It’s not THAT hard to get away from clop.

I’m absolutely amazed that people will still use the phrase “leaving the fandom” without a trace of irony. It doesn’t matter what your reasons or your conduct are, those words always translate directly to “I am an attention whore and I want to shove my opinion down your throat”.

Porn is filtered out by default, if you’re seeing it, it’s because you chose to. As well, Explicit images make up 6.96% of the images here. If you want to include Questionable (3.44%) then the percentage of “porn” on the site is a whopping 10.4%. The ratio of porn to not has also been pretty consistent from image 5000 onwards; when there’s a large number of them suddenly, it’s because of an artist dump or one of those 30 minute art challenges.

At the topic of cloppers, you guys do realize that is the same logic of why the GNAA is attacking the fandom right?

Only thing I liked of AlexS’s was the “Melting Pot of Alcohol” remix he did. (Even Ghost of TCR, the guy he was making fun of in it, likes it, as well now. Goes to show Ghost can be a good sport.)

Still, I think that’s silly reasons to stop liking something, or to stop being a “fan.”  
I think some people forget every fandom has “cloppers,” and such. (Ever read what “Rule 34 of the internet” states?)  
For God’s sakes, my friend Anna told me she found “Transformers” fanart pr0n once. (I don’t even wanna imagine how that “works.” Ugh…) You name any movie/cartoon/show/game whatever there’s pr0n of it online.
 
Though, I suppose the overabundance of pony pr0n fanart, and such is getting a bit hard to handle.  
I hate to sound like a prude, but I don’t mind some vulgar jokes, or some somewhat risque’ humanized/anthro’ MLP pics, but overall the pr0n is kinda sending the “wrong” message about the fanbase.  
All this fighting in the comments isn’t going to help that either.
 
Besides, as RubberCactus said, people would still label bronies as “perverts/weirdos/freaks” even if there was none of that gross stuff online.  
The “Cloppers” are just the minority of the fandom, (I’ve seen/known plenty of “bronies” who don’t clop, or make gross stuff) the problem is they’re just more outspoken. Still, nothing can be done about it, so it’s best to just ignore the parts of the fandom you don’t like.  
I get hassled by “Sonic fans” all the time on DeviantArt for my Sonic parody pics, and for liking the Sonic comics, but I still like Sonic. (I hate to sound biased but his fans are way worse then “bronies” ever were.)

Three things.
 

From what I have listened to of Alex S. music there are only a minority of songs that have actual lyrics that are specifically pony related (I may be way off base because of my not being a huge listener of his music), so how much is pony music and how much is “here’s some house (or what ever he makes) music and this is what I relate it to in the show/fandom”. So really he wont be making “Better music” just the same music with different “inspirations”(again I’m probably entirely wrong on this but this is how it seems to me)
 
Also for anyone who is like “I’m going to leave the fandom for X because it’s Y” just kill yourself now because the entire human race is full of people who do some form of X and you will be always be part of that group if you are alive.

Maybe you should just become a hero to all non-cloppers then Mojo. Go to a con. Make a statement. Exit the fandom the proper way.
