I enjoyed both shows personally.
 
Frankly, Sonic Underground is my least favorite Sonic cartoon, but I still enjoyed it.
 
There’s an upcoming Netflix exclusive series.

I think they are both good in their own ways.

A picture is one thing but a big proper physical object is another.  
And the display looks exactly like you would get in a movie theatre

You’d be surprised, remember all the fabricated “evidence” for the so-called “Smash Bros. Grinch leak?” (Said leak turned out fake, except for Ken. Though, most fans already predicted he’d be in, ever sense “echo fighters” became a thing.) Some actually do have alot of time on their hands to create hoaxes, and fake leaks.

The design was seen on a cardboard movie theatre display. I doubt it would put that much effort for a fake. I also remember people being upset that he didn’t have gloves originally. Personally I am glad he has gloves in the new design but more for logical reasons then actual appearance

That said, I kinda hope the leak is real. It looks more true to the game design, without copying the game design exactly. (As frankly, I feel the uni-eyes, and long noodle limbs would look a bit off & weird in live-action, so I’m fine with some minor changes.)

In fairness, they’re at least fixing the controversial movie design. Though, knowing the Sonic fanbase, they’ll hate the redesign no matter how it looks. (And the cliché, “Sonic befriends a human” Smurfs plot doesn’t help either.) Sonic is a character whom people are very picky about how he looks, or is portrayed personality-wise, so it’s impossible to please everyone with him.
 
Like fans complain he’s too comical/snarky in recent games, and want his personality either more like the old DiC cartoons, or the Sonic Adventure era games, (even though he was comical/snarky in those, as well) or whatever version of Sonic they grew up with.  
Then there’s fans whom don’t want him to talk at all, and be just like the old “finger waving” subtle-attitude 2D games. Meanwhile others complain he doesn’t talk, or claim he “doesn’t have a personality” in the “Sonic Mania” game/animated shorts. You can’t win.
 
That said, the “Sonic Boom” design & personality wasn’t that bad, I even kinda like the scarf.

I think the Sonic movie would love to have a word with her.

Rainbow: NO THANKS FOR SONIC BOOM but Thanks you for Sonic X, Ok Chris is a bit anoying in some episode but a better character over the all Sonic Boom! the only thing be good, is Amy and Sonic be in Couple but the Game is better the Tv serie! What Ruin this serie is What Sega a done to the Favourite Character of Applejack, Knuckles the echidna!

Rainbow: She be So Mad , she go out side her home and she Pony up and destroy the fucking big blouder in her farm and scream like crazy!  
Me: Aie! i dont be in her way were she mad!  
Rainbow: Oh dont tell you what the other think of the other character and what my friends think! Vinyl is mad Vector is not in! Now excuse me but i promise Fluttershy to Watch Sonic X, She Love Cream the rabbit!
