If they can’t use the Archie or DiC characters at the moment, I doubt they’ll crossover with the British STC series.
 
Would be cool if they could rerelease the series & the old Archie series in book compilations. Though, IDW’s unfortunately charges more for their book reprint collections.

Also, Beau, imagine what will happen that now that they have the rights of Sonic the Comic, IDW eventually decides to do an official crossover… Phew…

As somebody who is both a brony, AND Sonic-fan, I agree. There are quite a few similarities, (both hate change for one thing) and the irony of both fanbases being butthurt with each other is not lost on me.  
As I said before, I remember seeing a brony on DA demonizing Sonic fans constantly for making “lame recolor characters,” yet his DA gallery was literally full of recolored MLP character images, (some even traced/stolen fanart, I believe) he found on Google, and he claimed they were his own OCs…  
I also saw a Sonic recolor fanartist doing the same thing too in reverse.
 
Heck, ever seen the “Sonic Shorts” parody compilation fan-series? It’s basically the Sonic equivalent of “Ponies the Anthology,” (Granted, “Shorts,” have been around longer, and don’t feature YTPs much) and it’s just as hilarious, if you can handle some of the vulgar jokes.

I was just checking the latest Sonic hacks (I’m a Mega Drive guy) and saw the reaction to Fluttershy in Sonic 2 and Rainbow Dash in Sonic 3… Seriously, as a member of both, it’s hilarious to see almost a whole decade’s gone and both fanbases are still at each other’s necks.

In fact, Tabitha St Germain (Rarity) was actually in some of the Sonic & Super Mario cartoons. She was also Sprite the fairy in the Zelda cartoon.
