Jynx’s original incarnation, portrayed here, apparently offended people who considered it, from what I understand, a revival of the original portrayal of African Americans in the nineteen hundreds. So, they changed Jynx’s appearance so it wouldn’t be so offensive.
 
It seems to me that if racism wasn’t such a major issue anymore, than Jynx’s original appearance wouldn’t’ve been so offensive. Thus, I consider Jynx proof that racism is alive ‘n’ thrivin’.
